Since every designer’s blog has to include an article about skeuomorphism, here’s mine. Though, I would prefer to keep it short. Can we please stop with the endless flat vs. skeumorphwhatever discussion?
Let’s look at projects as an opportunity to experiment with design-styles to find the one that suits the project best, and let’s not thoroughly stick to a “trend”. Good design sets a product apart, good design communicates a clear message to its audience and good design is innovative.
Simple? Yes. Empty and meaningless? No.
